Our mission is to blend all types of musical ingredients to create compelling and transformative genre-bending sonic experiences that inspire, enrich, and connect new and diverse audiences with artists in a way that can only be done in New Orleans.

In 2024 Gumbeaux Juice in collaboration with Nine Lifestyle will release its showcase digital platform to include genre-bending collaborations, and new music by some of today’s most exciting living composers. Gumbeaux Juice engages the Gulf Coast Region in dynamic ways to serve and enrich all walks of diverse culture and people. In the Spring of 2021, Gumbeaux Juice launched its onstage ensemble at the Annual French Quarter festival to rave reviews. We made history with the first dedicated Hip-Hop showcase to highlight local up-and-coming talent for the city to preview.

We will continue to increase efforts to find more ways on how we can support this ethos.

Since its inception in 2021, Gumbeaux Juice has exploded onto the eclectic musical scene, captivating audiences, holistically engaging with its community, and fusing innovative and genre-bending urban performances with the highest levels of musical artistry. Gumbeaux Juice is reimagining a fresh vision of what the sound of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast can achieve in the 21st century. Created by the minds of, the great Donald Markowitz, Oronde Roussell, and Juan Yusuf Knatt, Gumbeaux Juice is a flexible and innovative hybrid organization that celebrates living composers, reimagines all genres of music, and collaborates with a wide range of diverse musical guests, choreographers, dancers, and mixed media artists. Recent highlights include exclusive collaborations with many more award-winning composers and cross-over artists.
